Equity for students

Support

QUT Law and Justice offers a range of services and programs to assist disadvantaged students from designated groups.

Financial support

You could be eligible for scholarships or bursaries. QUT Law and Justice lends textbooks to financially disadvantaged students to help with the costs of studying at university.

Eligible students can apply by downloading the application form and bringing it to Student Reception, Level 4, C Block, GP.

Indigenous students

QUT Law and Justice and the Oodgeroo unit is committed to making its courses accessible to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island students and assisting them in their transition to university through the provision of financial and other support measures.

Disability services

Disability Advisers can help students who have a disability.

Students from rural and isolated areas

Equity Services also offers assistance for students from rural and isolated backgrounds relocating to metropolitan areas for the first time to pursue their studies.

Students from non-English speaking backgrounds

Subject to the discretion of the Head of School, if you're from a non-English speaking background you may be entitled to extra time in examinations or the use of a bilingual dictionary.

You can also get additional support and assistance from International Student Services (ISS).
