Referencing Style Guides

Written Assessment in the Law School: Legal Citation (PDF file 1763.56 KB) - These Legal Referencing Style Guidelines are to be used by all students for all formal legal writing in the Faculty of Law, e.g. assignments and external exercises.

ELSIE provides online assistance and practice for law students learning to apply citation rules.

Presentation of Research Papers

Guidelines for Presentation of Research Papers (PDF file, 111.61 KB) - The majority of major assessment items for postgraduate units, is by research paper. These guidelines will assist you in writing and presenting a research paper.

Codicil is a newsletter produced for students of the Master of Laws and Graduate Certificate in Law.

QUT Law and Justice Journal is a scholarly, refereed journal with contributors both internal and external to QUT. The journal is available through the Library e-Services Open Journal System.

QUOTALS: Queensland University of Technology Association of Law and Justice Students

QUOTALS (Queensland University of Technology Association of Law and Justice Students) is a non-profit student organisation which represents Law and Justice students studying at QUT. This organisation releases a Careers Handbook each year which is available online and from their office on Level 4, C Block.
