Postgraduate study pathways (nested programs)

Some of our courses have an early exit option, where if you've completed part of your course you may be able to graduate with a different award. For example:

  • complete part of a masters, and graduate with a graduate diploma or graduate certificate
  • complete part of a graduate diploma, and graduate with a graduate certificate.
Or, you may be able to complete a course and receive credit for it when you progress to a related higher award. For example:
  • complete a graduate certificate, and receive credit towards a graduate diploma or masters
  • complete a graduate diploma and receive credit towards a masters.

We call these 'nested programs'.

Progressing from one part of a nested program to another: articulation

When you complete one level of a nested program we'll send you an invitation to move on to the next level. If you'd like to go ahead, you just need to respond to the invitation by the due date.
